What do all those TTC emergency plans mean?

From time to time people hear the term PLAN B to describe situations unfolding within the TTC subway system. A PLAN B is fire at track level in a subway station. There are many others and they are listed below.

PLAN A - Smoke Fire on/Coming from a train

PLAN B - Fire/Smoke at Track level

PLAN C - Fire/Smoke in a station - not from train or track level (Structural/Garbage can Fire etc.)

PLAN E - Evacuation of Station

PLAN F - Specific bomb threat - known location or confirmed suspicious object

PLAN G - General bomb threat - (ex. Call to 911 “There is a bomb on the Yonge line”)

PRIORITY ONE (Personal Injury at Track level)
