TORONTO, Nov. 22 /CNW/ - Low-floor buses (D40LF) are now in regular service on six routes: 5 Avenue Rd, 11 Bayview, 28 Davisville, 56 Leaside, 197 North Yonge and 97 Yonge.
Every run on these routes will be scheduled to use the D40LF low-floor buses, but some individual trips, such as school trips, will continue to use standard 40-foot buses. No schedule changes are necessary on these routes as the low-floor buses have enough capacity to carry all of the present customers.
More routes will be designated as accessible and will be assigned D40LF low-floor buses early in 2000 when there is provision in the budget for service increases on the routes which require them.
