According to a post in the mailing list torontobusnews, GO Transit is preparing to test a double-decker bus. Here’s a web site to show you what GO Transit is looking at.

To quote the post: “The bus is 4.3 metres high, 2.5 metres wide and 12 metres long. This will definetly present a variety of challenges in maintaining, servicing and placement of the bus in service.”

The bus will be tested on the Yonge and Bayview routes in late April. Apparently the bus is a TransBus International Trident II double-decker; one of an order that is being shipped to Victoria B.C. and diverted here specifically for the test.

Time to get those cameras ready…
