An answer to Gilbert Vesleo’s question:
Once the Sheppard subway opens, the routes that enter York Region, will be renumbered into the 200 series. Thus Victoria Park North (which only grabs the branches of the Victoria Park bus which operate north of Steeles — 24 Victoria Park will continue to operate between Victoria Park station and Steeles) will be numbered 224, Don Mills North will be numbered 225, and Bathurst North will eventually be renumbered 260, and so on. Pharmacy North, which doesn’t cross Steeles, doesn’t get the 200 series designation.
Dundas West Station Construction
Effective Labour Day, streetcars will be banished from Dundas West station while work crews rebuild the loop and install a second streetcar platform and track. King cars will operate from Broadview station and short turn at Queen and Roncesvalles. Dundas cars will operate from Broadview station, Dundas Street and Howard Park Avenue to High Park loop. The 306 Carlton Night Car will not operate into Dundas West station, but will also turn at Howard Park Avenue and operate into High Park loop. Frequent shuttle bus service will operate from Keele station, east along Bloor and south along Roncesvalles to Queen for the duration of the construction.
The new track at Dundas West will dramatically improve the reliability of the 505 Dundas and 504 King routes. Thanks to Rob for passing on this information.
