More west end diversions to report. Starting August 15, Rogers Rd. between Old Weston Rd. and Keele will be closed for major reconstruction. Railfans better arm themselves with cameras now and head down to that section of Rogers Rd. for a last glimpse of the only section of intact streetcar track left in the former City of York. The closure will effect three routes, one of which, 168 SYMINGTON, will also be effected by the closing of Dundas West Stn. loop as listed below. 41 KEELE and 168 SYMINGTON buses will divert from route at Old Weston Rd. & Lavender via Lavender and Keele to route at Keele and Rogers Rd. 161 ROGERS RD. buses will divert from route at Rogers Rd. and Kane via Kane, Lavender and Keele to route at Keele and Rogers Rd. For the duration of the diversion, Kane Ave. south of Rogers Rd. will change from one way (south/westbound) to two way operation.
