Queen Station Renovation Update

Raymond Lee writes: “I’d like to provide an update to the construction on the northeast subway entrance. The entrance will continue to be closed until January 6 2003. The old entrance has now been covered over with a metal hatch. On January 6 2003 the new entrance located inside the New Life towers will be open. The entrance to the tower is located on the north east corner of Yonge & Queen facing toward Yonge street. Once you are inside you will see a sign to the subway. Take the escalator down and walk south. You will pass by the metal doors sealing off the old stairs to street level. If you are exiting the subway via the north east exit, go into the passage that takes you to the westbound 501 streetcars. Go past the metal doors that seal off the old entrance/exit and take the escalator up. The exit to the street is right behind you. It will take you to Yonge street. Just walk south to the traffic light and you are at Queen street (Northeast corner). “
