Old Mill Reconstruction

Eagle-eyed commuters from the west end will have noticed scaffolds rising around the east end of Old Mill station. The scaffolds reach from the valley floor to the roof of the station. Late in February, hoardings were erected on the platforms themselves.

The work is being done to rebuild the roof of Old Mill station which, if you recall, was damaged by the Garbage Train fire back in 2000.
