Eglinton Station South Entrance Closes July 28

As many of you know, Eglinton station is undergoing substantial renovations to improve the flow, capacity and the ability to develop over this almost fifty-year-old transportation centre. We are currently working on an article that will chronicle the changes, thanks to generous readers who have supplied us with a lot of information.

Effective Monday, July 28, the south entrance to Eglinton station (off Yonge Street) will close to the public, so that renovations can proceed. A new entrance, featuring an elevator, is being built within a TTC staff area south of the current (soon to be former) south entrance. No word yet on what the eventual fate of the current south entrance will be.

Thanks to Mark Brader for the information.
