King Streetcar Service Almost Returned to Normal

Reader Jeffrey Kay tells us that all four lanes of King Street through the Atlantic underpass (between Shaw and Dufferin) are now open to regular traffic including streetcars.

Notices posted along the route say that the tunnel was opened at 3 PM on December 23rd, the notice goes on to thank riders for their patience during the construction. The full notice is posted here.

King streetcars have returned to their regular routing Between Dundas West station and Broadview station for the first time since February 24, 2003. Only one of the two streetcar platforms at Broadview station are in use, however, until renovations on the station finish later in 2004.
