Another Weekend of Festivals and Diversions

This weekend, begining tonight, the Salsa on St. Clair Festival will require a diversion of the 512 streetcar:

Starting 6:00 pm, July 15 until 3:00 am, on July 17, St. Clair Avenue West will be closed, between Christie Street and Oakwood Avenue during the Salsa on St. Clair Festival. During the closure, 512 St. Clair streetcars will run between St. Clair Station and St. Clair West Station. 512 St. Clair replacement buses will run between St. Clair West Station and Gunns Loop, diverting around the Festival via Christie Street, Davenport Road and Oakwood Avenue, in both directions, as shown in the map. The 312 St. Clair all night bus service will divert, both ways, via Christie, Davenport and Oakwood, as well.

Next weekend, there’s a 501 car diversion for the Beaches International Jazz Festival:

Starting Thursday, July 21 to Saturday, July 23, from about 6:00 p.m. to midnight, Queen Street east of Kingston Road will be closed for the Beach Jazz Festival. During the closure streetcars will turn back west at Kingston Road, as shown in the map. During the Festival, service will be increased on the 64 MAIN and 92 WOODBINE SOUTH routes.

The jazz actually started tonight, however, with Parti Gras at the Distillery.
