GO Transit Holding Public Meetings on Georgetown Line Expansion



A number of analysts are suggesting that the Blue 22 connection between Pearson and Union may be dead or dying, but GO Transit is still working on its improvements to the Georgetown line, with an eye to increasing midday train service between Union and Mount Pleasant GO station in northwest Brampton. Weston residents, still somewhat suspicious of the project after the Blue 22 controversy, will likely be paying attention.

Transit Guru Ed Drass submits the following information about the upcoming GO meetings:

GO Transit is holding public information centres as part of an individual environmental assessment examining alternatives for expanding GO’s Georgetown South rail corridor and for an express transportation link between Pearson airport and Union Station. Public participation is an important part of the process, and we welcome your input. You are invited to attend one of these public info centres:
