TTC introduces four more accessible bus routes

The Toronto Transit Commission will introduce four more accessible bus routes, starting on Sunday, November 26. The 61 Avenue Road North, 96 Wilson, 165 Weston Road North and 319 Wilson bus routes will now be wheelchair- and scooter-friendly. Ninety-one of the TTC’s 166 bus routes are now accessible.

Kneeling buses with a flip-ramp or lift will serve the four routes. Blue lights on either side of the front destination sign and the blue international wheelchair symbol on the front right bumper next to the entrance door identify these buses as accessible.

All fully accessible buses include two wheelchair or scooter positions. The TTC now has more than 900 accessible buses in its fleet.
