An earlier Transit Toronto posting describes GO’s new weekend train service to Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa stations and other recent service changes.

Burlington Transit

DRT Centre (Whitby)

In addition to the major weekend changes that an earlier Transit Toronto posting describes, on January 2, DRT also made minor schedule changes to route 1 Otter Creek / West Lynde resulting from revised weekday GO train schedules.

Hamilton Street Railway

HSR added two weekday westbound trips (towards downtown Hamilton) at the end of the morning peak period on the 21 Upper Kenilworth route and also made minor changes to the schedule throughout the day.

It also revised the interlined weekday schedules of the 10 Beeline Express, 55 Stoney Creek Central and 58 Stoney Creek Local routes and increased service on the 55 Stoney Creek Central route so that buses serve both branches from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

The City of Hamilton is constructing sewers and watermains at the south-west corner of King Street West and Bond Street South and that affects the the 5 Delaware, 10 Beeline Express and 51 University routes. Beginning January 2, HSR has diverted eastbound buses around the project. Buses follow their regular route to King and Marion Avenue South and then follow Marion to Longwood Road South, before resuming their regular route. The diversion does not affect eastbound buses. The detour began on January 2 and ends on January 7, 2007.

York Region Transit

The 7:07 a.m. trip on the 18 Bur Oak route from Markham Stouffville Hospital will depart five minutes earlier at 7:02 a.m. to improve connections at Mount Joy GO Station.
