TTC restores Sunday service on Scarborough RT

Beginning on January 14, the Toronto Transit Commission restored regular Sunday service on the 3 Scarborough Rapid Transit route.

TTC had closed the RT for most Sundays since October 27 to allow its crews to conduct maintenance work on the line. The TTC originally planned to continue this work and close the RT every Sunday until February 11.

Other changes in Scarborough

Also beginning on Sunday, January 14, the TTC revised service on its 17 Birchmount and 42 Cummer routes.

TTC buses serving the 17 Birchmount route on Sunday evenings formerly ended their runs at an off-street loop on the north side of McNicoll Avenue, just west of Kennedy Road. These buses now end their routes at a new loop on the north side of McNicoll, east of Kennedy. Similarly, TTC buses serving the 42 Cummer route on Sunday evenings now end their routes at the same new loop, instead of the former loop.
