Hamilton bus service diverted for nine months

The City of Hamilton’s ongoing construction of the Red Hill Valley Parkway will result in the City closing Mount Albion Road between King Street East and Hixon Street for approximately nine months, beginning this Monday, February 12.

The Hamilton Street Railway will divert buses on the 11 Parkdale route around the construction. The buses will run along their regular route to King and Mount Albion and then divert in both directions along King Street East, Quigley Road and Greenhill Avenue before returning to their regular route at Greenhill and Mount Albion.

HSR passengers on the diverted 11 Parkdale route can use stops that regularly serve passengers on the 4 Bayfront, 5 Delaware and 5B Main West routes along King, Quigley and Greenhill. No HSR route will serve the stops along Mount Albion between King and Greenhill until the City completes the construction.
