According to the Toronto Star at 8:59 a.m. this morning, a four-alarm fire in a building on Lake Shore Boulevard West, just east of Brown’s Line is disrupting TTC service in the area.
Streetcars on the 501 Queen line are short-turning at Kipling, while shuttle buses carry passengers between Kipling and Long Branch.
The fire broke out around midnight at Dickson’s Piano Bar and is involving nearby businesses and apartments. After several hours, fire fighters have controlled the blaze, but will continue to block the street throughout the morning.
