TTC completes tunnel project early; no subway diversion this weekend

The TTC finished its project to repair parts of the subway tunnel between Bay and St. George Stations early, so it will no longer divert Bloor-Danforth subway trains every weekend.

The TTC has diverted all Bloor-Danforth trains to end at Museum Station every weekend since February 24. The diversion brought passengers travelling from or to stops east of Yonge Street through the TTC’s “hidden” lower Bay Station. Trains containing paying subway passengers had not passed through the lower station since 1966.
