TTC diverts Avenue Road express buses, April 9



As part of the ongoing City of Toronto and TTC project to rebuild streetcar tracks along Dundas Street between Howard Park and Broadview Avenues, the City will close the intersection of Dundas Street West and University Avenue to most through traffic from 7 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, April 7 until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, April 10.

The TTC will divert transit service around the intersection.

On Monday, April 9, the TTC will divert buses on the 142 Downtown / Avenue Road Express route. Buses will operate along University Avenue, Armoury Street, Chesnut Street and Edward Street before returning to the route.

It already detoured streetcars on the 505 Dundas route around sections of Dundas Street where construction crews are rebuilding the tracks, beginning last Monday, April 2. 505 Dundas streetcars run from Dundas West Station along Dundas Street West, College Street, Carlton Street, Church Street, Dundas Street East, Parliament Street, Gerrard Street East and Broadview Avenue to Broadview Station.
