The head of Amalgamated Transit Workers Union Local 113, Bob Kinnear, downplayed talk of a wildcat strike over safety issues, yesterday morning on a talkshow with AM 640’s John Oakley (reported here).

“Kinnear spoke with AM 640 Toronto’s John Oakley Show this morning and told him their concerns are still the same, regarding safety for tunnel workers. But he says suggesting they’ll do whatever it takes to make sure their members are protected wasn’t a threat. It’s simply his job.”
