Transport 2000, a national transportation advocacy group, invites you to a public discussion about :

Disability and Public Transportation

Speaker : Melissa Northe, Director of Disability Issues, Transport 2000 (Prarie)

Melissa is a woman with multiple disabilities and a wheelchair user. She is a Board Member of Individuals with Disabilities Equity Alliance in Regina, a member of the Sasktachewan Independent Living Centre and is involved with a number of transportation advocacy groups.

Come hear Melissa speak and have a conversation with others about transportation advocacy and persons with disabilities.

Transport 2000 Ontario is holding its annual general meeting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Metro Hall, Room 302. The guest speaker is Mitch Stambler, who will be talking about the TTC’s Transit City LRT proposal. Transport 2000 Canada’s annual general meeting takes place tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. in room 308/309 at Metro Hall. It features a speakers’ panel with TTC Chair Adam Giambrone, GTTA Chair Rob McIssac and transit activist Steve Munro, discussing the future of public transportation in the Greater Toronto Area.

These events are all open to the public and everyone is welcome.
