TTC begins bus service on Dundas East

Starting Tuesday, May 22, the TTC will begin to operate a temporary bus service replacing streetcar service on Dundas Street East between Parliament and River Streets.

The City of Toronto and the TTC have been reconstructing the streetcar tracks and the bridge across the Don River since February. The TTC has diverted streetcars on the 505 Dundas route along Gerrard Street East between Parliament Street and Broadview Avenue.

Buses on the temporary 505 Dundas shuttle route will operate seven days a week from 6 to 1 a.m. They operate along a circular one-way route. They begin their trips at Dundas Street East and Parliament Street, then proceed northward along Parliament, eastward along Gerrard Street East, southward along Broadview Avenue, westward along Queen Street East, northward along River Street and then westward along Dundas to their starting point at Parliament Street.
