The Region of Durham will close Taunton Road, between Country Lane and Cochrane Street in Whitby this evening, June 5, as part of a project to construct storm sewers.

From 9 a.m. tonight until 6 a.m. tomorrow, June 6, Durham Region Transit will divert buses on its 15 and 17 Taunton routes. Eastbound DRT buses on the 15 Taunton route will operate on their regular route to Country Lane and Twin Rivers Road and then divert eastward along Twin Rivers, northward on Cochrane and then return to their regular route at Cochrance and Taunton. Westbound buses on the 17 Taunton route will operate on their regular route to Taunton and Cochrane, then operate southward along Cochrane, westward along Twin Rivers and then return to their regular route at Twin Rivers and Country Lane.
