The City of Toronto project to reconstruct Dupont Street, east of Davenport Road will result in the City closing the western section of the intersection of Dupont and Davenport this weekend.

Starting at 6 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, June 8, the TTC will detour buses on the 6 Bay and 26 Dupont routes around the construction. Northbound buses on the 6 Bay route will follow their regular route to Davenport and Avenue Road, then detour northward along Avenue, westward along Dupont and southward along Bedford Road. They resume their regular route at Bedford and Davenport, where they proceed southward along Davenport and Bay Street.

Eastbound buses on the 26 Dupont route will follow their regular route to Dupont and St. George Street, then detour southward along St. George, and eastward along Bernard Avenue, and resume their regular route at Bernard and Bedford. Westbound buses will reverse this routing.

These diversions end at 7 a.m. on Monday, June 11, but the buses will not return to their regular routes for several weeks. Buses on both routes have been following a long-term diversion route since May 28 and will continue to follow that diversion until the end of June.

On their long-term diversion, buses on the 6 Bay route follow their regular route to Davenport and Bedford and then detour northward along Bedford, westward along Dupont and then southeastward along Davenport. (This is the reverse of their usual on-street loop.)

On their long-term diversion, eastbound buses on the 26 Dupont route follow their regular route to Dupont and Davenport then divert southeastward along Davenport, before returning to their regular route at Davenport and Bedford. Westbound buses operate along their regular route along Bedford and Dupont.
