On Monday, June 11, a project to reconstruct Burns Street East (Whitby) and Gibb Street (Oshawa) between Kendalwood Road and Thornton Road South will affect transit services. The project will continue for about two weeks.
Durham Region Transit will detour buses on the 6 Whiteoaks — Oshawa Centre route.
Westbound buses will operate along their regular route to Gibb Street and Thornton Road South, then detour:
northward along Thornton;
westward along King Street West (Oshawa) and Dundas Street East (Whitby); and then
southward along Kendalwood Road to Nichol Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along Nichol.
Eastbound buses will reverse this routing.
