On Thursday, June 14, the City of Toronto, TTC and Toronto Hydro will host a public information meeting on the St. Clair West Transit Improvement Project.
The meeting takes place at the Joseph J. Piccininni Centre, 1369 St. Clair Avenue West, west of Lansdowne Avenue in Earlscourt Park from 6 to 8 p.m.
Starting in September, the TTC and City will begin to work on the next phase of the project, along St. Clair between Westmount Avenue (one block west of Dufferin Street) and McRoberts Avenue (one block west of Caledonia Road). They will replace and rebuild the tracks in a raised, dedicated right-of-way, enhance the streetscape, improve roadways and sidewalks and install new streetcar passenger platforms and shelters. Toronto Hydro will begin upgrading street lighting. They expect to complete the work by the end of the year.
TTC, City and Hydro staff will be available to answer questions about the project.
