Transit open houses in Toronto and York this week

You can have your say on the future of transit services at open houses in Toronto and York Region this week.

Toronto

By 2021, the TTC expects that a new generation of fully accessible, environmentally friendly Light Rail Vehicles (LRVs) will operate along its existing streetcar lines. The new cars will also serve 120 km of new lines as part of the Transit City plan.

The TTC is searching the world to find the best LRVs for Toronto. You can tell them what’s important to you in the new vehicle design at public events this week. You’ll see models of streetcars and also be able to complete a questionnaire on the features you would like to see on the new cars. You can also complete the survey on-line.
