Streetcars return to part of Dundas Street



(Update: Thursday, July 19, 10:05 a.m.): The TTC has revised the timing of its work on the section of track east of Victoria Street. This listing now provides information only on service changes that begin on July 23.


Starting Monday, July 23, the TTC will resume streetcar service on the 505 Dundas route along Dundas Street between Bathurst and Victoria Streets.

The City of Toronto and the TTC have been reconstructing the streetcar tracks between Howard Park and Broadview Avenues and the bridge across the Don River valley since February.

On Monday, eastbound streetcars on the 505 Dundas route will begin trips at Dundas Street West and Lansdowne Avenue. They will proceed westward along Dundas, eastward along College Street, southward along Ossington Avenue, eastward along Dundas Streets West and East, northward along Parliament Street, eastward along Gerrard Street East and northward along Broadview Avenue to Broadview Station. Westbound streetcars reverse this routing.

The TTC has replaced streetcars with buses west of College Street. Eastbound 505 Dundas replacement buses begin their trips at Dundas West Station then proceed south- and eastward along Dundas Street West and College Street and southward along Lansdowne Avenue to Dundas. Westbound buses begin their trips at Dundas and Lansdowne and operate west- and northward along Dundas Street West to Dundas West Station.
