The TTC will close the Scarborough Rapid Transit line to test signals all day on Sundays, August 5, 12, 19 and 26.

To replace the RT, it will operate a frequent express bus. Southbound buses on the 3 Scarborough RT express route will operate from Scarborough Centre Station eastward along Triton Road, southward along McCowan Road, westward along Ellesmere Road, southward along Midland Avenue and westward along Eglinton Avenue East into Kennedy Station. Buses will stop at McCowan and Bushby Drive, Midland and Ellesmere and Midland and Lawrence Avenue East. Northbound buses will reverse this routing.

Regular Sunday 3 Scarborough RT service resumes on September 3.

The TTC continues to shut down the RT early every evening so that crews can conduct routine maintenance on the line. RT service ends at midnight, but frequent express buses will operate on the Triton / McCowan / Ellesmere / Midland / Eglinton route until approximately 1:30 a.m. The TTC will continue to close the RT early every evening until November 24.

Whenever the TTC closes the RT, buses on the 54 Lawrence East route remain on Lawrence Avenue East and do not loop through Lawrence East Station.
