(Update: 9:09 a.m.): Subway service has now resumed.
citytv news reports that a problem at one station has caused huge troubles at others for passengers on the 2 Bloor-Danforth subway line. A temporary subway shutdown has affected thousands of commuters. It stems from a track problem at the busy St. George station and has affected service at the 10 stations between Ossington and Broadview.
A personal injury at St. George led to the shutdown.
Shuttle buses are running to ferry passengers around blockage. However, since buses don’t hold the same number of people as subway cars, passengers are facing back-ups and delays.
The TTC says it’s working on the problem and hopes to have it resolved soon
CBC Toronto also has the story.
