The Hamilton Street Railway is making a number of changes to its services, starting Sunday, September 2.
It will: extend current routes, increase service hours on current routes, re-instate routes to universities and colleges, cancel seasonal routes, adjust schedules.
The changes affect these routes: 2 Barton, 3 Cannon, 4 Bayfront, 6 Aberdeen, 7 Locke, 8 York, 10 Beeline Express, 11 Parkdale, 16 Ancaster, 21 Upper Kenilworth, 22 Upper Ottawa, 23 Upper Gage, 24 Upper Sherman, 27 Upper James, 33 Sanatorium, 34 Upper Paradise, 35 College, 41 Mohawk, 43 Stonechurch, 51 University, 55 Stoney Creek Central, 56 Confederation Park, 58 Stoney Creek Local, 99 Waterfront Shuttle, Redeemer College University Shuttle
Extend current routes 10 Beeline Express: Starting Tuesday, September 4, the HSR will extend the route westerly from McMaster University to University Plaza in Dundas to serve the new West Village Students Residence at Main Street West and Osler Drive. Express buses operating on the extended part of the route will stop at University and Forsyth Avenues, Main and Osler and at University Plaza, in addition to their current express stops east of Mac. The HSR is also increasing the service hours on this route. Increase service hours on current routes 10 Beeline Express: Starting Tuesday, September 4, the HSR will increase the service hours on the 10 Beeline Express route. Buses will operate Monday-to-Friday middays and early evenings until 7 p.m. The HSR will not interline the 10 Beeline Express route with the 55 Stoney Creek Central and 58 Stoney Creek Local routes during the middays and early evenings, although it will continue to interline the routes during Monday-to-Friday peak periods.
