York Region service changes started September 2



York Region Transit changed a number of its routes and services, starting yesterday, Sunday, September 2.


It: introduced new routes, extended routes, shortened routes, revised routes, decreased service hours, re-instated services to high schools and colleges, canceled routes, increased the frequency of current routes, decreased the frequency of current routes, adjusted schedules.

Introduced new routes

410 Markham District High School via Hollingham, Raymerville: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT buses will operate in the morning and afternoon from Monday to Friday along this new high school route to and from Markham District High School. The morning trip operates from Woodbine Avenue and Rodick Road, then proceeds east- and southward along Rodick, east- and southward along Hollingham Road, eastward along Apple Creek Boulevard and Glencove Drive, north- and eastward along Buchanan Drive, northward along Village Parkway, eastward along Carlton Road, east-, north- and westward along Raymerville Drive, northward along Stone Mason Drive, eastward along 16th Avenue, southward along Fincham Drive, east- and southward along Larkin Avenue, westward along Fincham, southward along Wooten Way and westward along Church Street Markham to the high school. The afternoon trip will reverse this routing.

423 Newmarket High School: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT buses will operate in the morning and the afternoon from Monday to Friday along this new route serving Newmarket High School. The morning trip operates from Yonge Street and Bristol Road, then proceed eastward along Bristol, southward along Dorchester Street, westward along London Road, southward along Harrison and Longford Drives, eastward along Davis Drive, southward along Lorne Avenue, westward along Eagle Street, southward along Sanford Street, and eastward along Mulock Drive to the high school. The afternoon trip will reverse the routing.

9 Ninth Line: Starting Sunday, September 2, YRT will rename and revise its former 9A Stouffville via Ninth Line route. The new 15 Stouffville Local, 215 Stouffville GO Shuttle and 415 Stouffville High School routes will partly serve areas that buses on the former 9 Stouffville Local and 9A Stouffville via Ninth Line routes used to serve. Southbound buses will begin their routes at Parkview Village, east of Ninth Line, just south of Main Street Stouffville. (You can transfer between buses operating on the 9 Ninth Line and 15 Stouffville Local routes at Parkview Village.) After leaving Parkview Village, southbound buses will continue southward along Ninth Line to Church Street Markham, then proceed westward along Church and into the YRT terminal at Markham-Stouffville Hospital. Northbound buses will reverse this routing.

Note that YRT is detouring buses that would usually operate on Ninth Line, due to an ongoing York Region construction project. During the project, southbound buses are operating on their regular route to Ninth Line and 16th Avenue, then detouring eastward along 16th, southward along Bur Oak Avenue and westward along Church Street Markham to the Hospital. Northbound buses reverse this routing.

447 St. Theresa High School: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT buses will operate in morning and afternoon from Monday to Friday along this new route between Jefferson Forest and the high school. The morning trip operates from Jefferson Forest Drive and Arden Valley Street, then proceeds east- and southward along Jefferson Forest, west- and northward along Shadow Falls Drive, westward along Jefferson Forest, southward along Yonge Street, eastward along 19th Avenue, south- and westward along Devonsleigh Boulevard, southward along Yorkland Street, east-, south- and westward along Bernard Avenue, westward along Canyon Hill Avenue, north- and westward along Shaftesbury Avenue to the high school. The afternoon trip will reverse this routing to Yonge and Jefferson Forest, then continue east- and southward along Jefferson Forest, west- and northward along Shadow Falls, and westward along Jefferson Forest to Arden Valley.

450 St. Theresa High School: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT buses will operate in the morning and afternoon from Monday to Friday along this new route between the Inspiration Subdivision and the high school. The morning trip operates from Tower Hill Road and Rollinghill Road, then proceeds eastward along Tower Hill, southward along Yonge Street, west- and northward along Rollinghill, westward along Tower Hill, southward along Selwyn Road, westward along 19th Avenue, southward along Bathurst Street and eastward along Shaftesbury Avenue to the high school. The afternoon trip will reverse the routing to Selwyn and Tower Hill, then proceed eastward along Tower Hill, southward along Yonge, and west- and northward along Rollinghill.

215 Stouffville GO Shuttle: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will introduce a new Monday-to-Friday peak period and early evening shuttle service to and from Stouffville GO Station. The GO Shuttle will replace the former Monday-to-Friday peak-period routing of the 9 Stouffville Local service in northern Stouffville. Three morning trips will begin at Main Street and Stouffer Street, and then proceed southward along Stouffer, eastward along Lori Avenue, northward along Tenth Line, eastward along Main Street Stouffville, south-, west- and northward along Eastern Gate Crescent, westward along Main Street Stouffville, northward along Hemlock Street and Millard Drive, southward along Ninth Line and westward along Main Street Stouffville to the GO Station. YRT has scheduled the shuttle so that your bus will arrive at the station to meet GO Transit ‘s southbound 71 Stouffville train.

During the afternoon peak periods and early evenings, five trips will operate from Stouffville GO Station, eastward along Main Street Stouffville to Stouffer Street, then operating along the morning route to Ninth Line and Main, where the buses end their routes. Some evening trips begin at Parkview Village on the 15 Stouffville Local route. These buses travel between Parkview and the Station, where the buses begin to operate along the Shuttle route. (You can transfer between buses operating on the 15 Stouffville Local and 9 Ninth Line routes at Parkview Village.) YRT has scheduled the afternoon and evening shuttle buses so that you can immediately transfer from GO Transit’s northbound 71 Stouffville train to a waiting shuttle bus.

415 Stouffville High School: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT buses will operate along this new high school route serving Stouffville High School in the morning and afternoon from Monday to Friday. The morning trip operates from Ninth Line and Main Street Stouffville, then proceeds northward along Ninth Line, eastward along Millard Street and Hemlock Drive, southward along Tenth Line, westward along Hoover Park Drive, south- and westward along Reeves Way Boulevard, northward along Ninth Line and westward along Hoover Park Drive to the high school. The afternoon trip will reverse this routing.

15 Stouffville Local: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will introduce this new Monday-to-Friday daytime and early evening route to replace the previous 9 Stouffville Local route. The new route will introduce transit service along Hoover Park Drive and also serve Main Street Stouffville, the Stouffville GO Station, Parkview Village, the Lebovic Leisure Centre and the Eastern Gate community. Eastbound buses operate from Hoover Park and Highway 48, northward along Highway 48, eastward along Main Street Stouffville, southward along Ninth Line and then westward into Parkview Village, then eastward to Ninth Line, northward along Ninth Line, eastward along Main Street Stouffville, southward along Park Drive, westward along Burkholder Drive, southward into the Lebovic Recreation Centre, northward to Burkholder Drive, eastward along Burkholder Drive, eastward along Main Street Stouffville to the eastern intersection with Eastern Gate Crescent.

Westbound buses will operate south-, west- and northward along Eastern Gate Crescent, then reverse the eastbound routing to Parkview Village, then continue southward along Ninth Line and westward along Hoover Park Drive to Highway 48. You can transfer to buses operating on the 9 Ninth Line route at Parkview Village.

Some morning peak-period buses will operate on southbound 15 Stouffville Local short turns between Stouffville GO Station and Parkview Village to allow you to immediately transfer to a waiting southbound 9 Ninth Line bus. Some midday and early-evening buses will operate on two-way 15 Stouffville Local short turns between Hoover Park Drive and Highway 48 and Parkview Village. Some evening buses will operate on northbound short turns between Parkview Village and Stouffville GO Station. You can immediately transfer from a northbound 9 Ninth Line bus onto one of these evening short turn buses. These short buses will also continue on the 215 Stouffville GO Shuttle route once they reach the GO Station, so you will not have to transfer to another bus if you want to reach areas that the GO Shuttle bus serves.


Extended current routes

82 Valleymede-Spadina: Starting Tuesday, September 4, buses on this Monday-to-Saturday route will serve Richmond Green High School at all times. Southbound buses will operate southward along Leslie Street and westward along Elgin Mills Road, resuming their former route on Elgin Mills at Richmond Green. Northbound buses will reverse this routing.


Shortened current routes

89 Richmond Hill Community Bus: Starting Tuesday, September 4, buses will no longer serve the stop at the Richmond Heights Plaza.

Viva Purple: Starting Tuesday, September 4, all Viva Purple buses will end their routes at York University. YRT will cancel its former Monday-to-Friday peak-period Viva Purple service west of York University to Martin Grove Road. YRT will also improve the Viva Orange route to replace the shortened Viva Purple service. YRT will opreate buses along these extra trips Monday to Friday every 30 minutes from 8 until 11:30 a.m. and every 20 minutes from 2 until 4 p.m.


Revised current routes

44 Bristol-London: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will introduce a new 44 Bristol-London dial-a-ride pilot service. YRT will replace all standard buses operating on the route with dial-a-ride service during Monday-to-Saturday evenings.

If you’d like to travel on the 44 Bristol-London route between 7:05 and 11:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday, call 1-800-899-1621 30 minutes before your trip. A driver will pick you up at your stop in a YRT-marked dial-a-ride accessible van. You can ask the driver to pick you up and drop you off at any 44 Bristol-London bus stop. Dial-a-ride is not a door-to-door service, so the driver can’t pick you up or drop you off at your home, or anywhere outside of the 44 Bristol-London service area.

The dial-a-ride van will also operate on a fixed schedule to serve the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal and Upper Canada Mall every 30 minutes. If you want to board the dial-a-ride van at Newmarket GO Bus Terminal or Upper Canada Mall, you don’t have to call ahead. The van will depart from these locations at their scheduled times. Once at Upper Canada Mall, the van will pick you up and take you to your 44 Bristol-London bus stop. If the van driver does not have any customers or calls for pickups, the driver will return the van to Newmarket GO Bus Terminal in time for the next scheduled departure. Regular YRT / Viva fares apply. The driver of the dial-a-ride van will issue YRT / Viva transfers. YRT has contracted Scarborough Taxi to operate this service.

51 Keswick Local: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT restructured the route so that buses operate two-way service between Orchard Beach and Ravenshoe Road. (YRT has canceled its 50 Queensway route and joined with GO Transit to introduce a YRT / GO fare integration service along GO’s 69 Sutton route.) YRT buses operate on the revised 51 Keswick Local route from approximately 5:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and from approximately 8 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. Saturdays.

Southbound buses begin their routes at Metro Road North and Ferncroft Drive and proceed eastward along Ferncroft, southward along Highcastle Avenue, westward along Old Homestead Road, southward along Metro Road North, eastward along Simcoe Avenue, northward along the Queensway North, eastward along Church Street Keswick, southward along Netanya Boulevard, eastward along Wexford Drive, southward along Woodbine Avenue, westward along Biscayne Boulevard, southward along the Queensway South, eastward along Doverdale Drive, southward along Lowndes Avenue, westward along Glenwoods Avenue, southward along Queensway, eastward along Joe Dales Drive, southward along Thornlodge Drive and westward along Ravenshoe Road to Lake Drive South.

Northbound buses begin their routes at Ravenshoe Road and Lake Drive and proceed northwards along Lake, eastward along Walter Drive, northward along the Queensway South, eastward along Doverdale Drive, southward along Lowndes Avenue, westward along Glenwoods Avenue, northward along Queensway, eastward along Biscayne Boulevard, northward along Woodbine Avenue, westward along Wexford Drive, northward along Netayana Boulevard, westward along Church Street Keswick, southward along the Queensway North, westward along Simcoe Avenue and northward along Metro Road North to Ferncroft Drive.

Some southbound Monday-to-Saturday evening buses operate along their regular route to Church Street Keswick and Netayana Drive then continue westward along Church and southward along Woodbine Avenue, resuming their regular routing at Woodbine and Wexford. Some northbound Monday-to-Saturday evening buses reverse this routing. These evening buses serve the GEM Theatre near Church and Woodbine and do not operate along Netayana and Wexford.

The new route replaces the former 50 Queensway route along Metro Road North, Ferncroft Drive, Highcastle Avenue, Old Homestead Road and Simcoe Avenue. Buses operating on the 51 Keswick Local route will not serve former 50 Queensway stops along the Queensway South between Simcoe Avenue and Biscayne Boulevard or former 51 Keswick Local stops along Metro Road South between Simcoe Avenue and Queensway. GO Transit will operate its 69 Sutton route along Queensway between south of Simcoe and will integrate its fares with YRT fares for this route. No transit service will operate along Metro Road south of Simcoe.

87 Langstaff-Maple: Starting Tuesday, September 4, buses will only operate into Rutherford GO Station during Monday-to-Friday peak periods to meet the morning and afternoon GO Trains. During Monday-to-Friday middays and evenings and all day Saturday, buses will remain on Rutherford Road and not enter Rutherford GO Station.

409 Markham District High School via Bur Oak: To serve students living near Markham Bypass and 16th Ave., starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will divert buses operating on the route along 16th Avenue, Markham Bypass and White’s Hill Avenue.

2 Milliken: Starting Tuesday, September 4, all buses operating along the route on Mondays to Fridays will loop along Eastvale Drive. Westbound buses will begin their route at Eastvale and Steeles Avenue East then operate westward along Steeles and northward along Markham Road, resuming their former route at Markham and Elson Drive. Eastbound buses will operate eastward along their current route to Elson Drive and Markham Road, then procees southward along Markham Road, eastward along Elson Street and southward along Eastvale Drive to Steeles Avenue East.

On weekends and holidays, buses end their route at Markham and Elson, then proceed westward along Elson.

449 Richmond Green High School: To serve the new Cathedral development, starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will remove the route from Vine Cliff Boulevard and extend it northward to operate on Stony Hill Boulevard. Buses will begin their route at Woodbine Avenue and Stony Hill, then proceed eastward along Stony Hill to Hazelton Avenue, southward along Hazelton to Major Mackenzie Drive and then resume their former routing.

85 Rutherford-16th Avenue: Starting Tuesday, September 4, buses will only operate into Rutherford GO Station during Monday-to-Friday peak periods to meet the morning and afternoon GO Trains. During Monday-to-Friday middays and evenings and all day Saturday, buses will remain on Rutherford Road and not enter Rutherford GO Station.

69 Sutton: Starting Sunday, September 2, YRT began to work with GO Transit to offer a fare integration service with GO’s 69 Sutton route. GO will provide local service to the Town of Georgina and allow you to connect directly to southern YRT / Viva services at the Newmarket GO Terminal. Buses will operate on the route daily and buses on some trips will travel north-eastward as far as Beaverton. (YRT fares will only apply for trips to Highway 48 and Lakeridge Road in Port Bolster. If you want to travel further on the route into Durham Region towards Beaverton, you’ll have to pay the appropriate GO Transit fare.)

GO operators on this route will accept YRT / Viva fares. If you’re travelling from Newmarket or East Gwillimbury to Georgina you’ll need a two-zone fare. GO Transit operators will accept a valid one- or two-zone tickets, passes and transfers or valid one- or two-zone tickets, passes and pre-purchased zone supplements.

You can only purchase YRT oneRide zone supplements at oneRide or multiRide machines at the Newmarket GO Terminal. If you want to take advantage of YRT’s “50ยข to GO” program, you may purchase a valid YRT/Viva fare integration sticker from GO Transit and attach it to a valid GO Transit monthly pass. If you’re paying cash, the operators will only accept current GO Transit cash fare rates. They will not accept YRT / Viva cash fare rates.

You can board the buses on the 69 Sutton route at any of the GO- and YRT-marked stops along the route. If you’re travelling south- or northbound across the Ravenshoe Road and Holborn Road zone boundaries, operators will require you to pay a two-zone fare. The operator will ask you your destination when you board and the operator will then request you to submit the proper one- or two-zone fare.

Operators will not issue YRT / Viva transfers but instead will issue a GO Transit paper receipt which you can use to transfer to YRT / Viva services in Keswick, East Gwillimbury and Newmarket. If you’re travelling southbound from the Newmarket GO Bus Terminal, you must purchase an additional zone supplement if your trip crosses the southern zone boundary at King Road.


Decreased service hours

340 Bayview Express: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will only operate buses on this route during Monday-to-Friday morning peak periods. Buses operating on the 91A Bayview South route will replace all afternoon peak periods leaving from Finch Station.

Viva Green: Starting Sunday, September 2, YRT reduced the service hours on this route to Monday-to-Friday peak periods only. YRT expects to re-instate more service along this route as the area around the Markham Centre develops.

33 Wellington: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will cancel all service during the Monday-to-Friday midday and evening periods. YRT will only operate buses along the route during Monday-to-Friday peak periods. It will also decrease the frequency of service.


Re-instated services to high schools and colleges

31 Aurora North: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will re-instate extra service westbound to G.W. Williams High School at 7:45 a.m. and eastbound at 3:12 p.m. YRT will adjust the schedule of the route.

91 Bayview South: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will introduce short-turn trips to Thornlea Secondary School. It will also increase the frequency and adjust the schedule of the route.

2A 14th Avenue: Starting Tuesday, September 4, a new Monday-to-Friday morning eastbound trip will depart McCowan Road and 14th Avenue at 7:10 a.m. to serve Markham District High School. The 3:05 p.m. Monday-to-Friday westbound trip departing Markham Stouffville Hospital will start from Markham District High School at 3 p.m.

To serve Father McGivney Catholic Academy, starting Tuesday, September 4, the Monday-to-Friday 7:40 a.m. westbound trip from Markham Stouffville Hospital will operate southward along Ninth Line to Rougebank Drive, then continue southward along the Ninth Line Diversion (Box Grove Bypass), eastward along 14th Avenue, southward along Riverwalk Drive, northward along the Ninth Line Diversion to Rougebank Drive and then proceed westward along the regular 2A 14th Avenue route. A new MOnday-to-Friday afternoon eastbound trip will depart McCowan Road and 14th Avenue at 2:47 p.m. and operate along the Riverwalk diversion, arriving at 14th Avenue and Ninth Line at 3:12 p.m. Buses will operate along Riverwalk Drive until the Town of Markham and York Region have constructed Cooper Creek Drive and Ninth Line. YRT will also adjust the schedule.

1 Highway 7: Starting Tuesday, September 4, the 3:15 p.m. trip departing Markham-Stouffville Hospital will start from Markham District High School at 3:05 p.m.

22 King City: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will introduce limited weekday service via Bathurst Street and Kingshill Road. To allow student access to Cardinal Carter Secondary School, the bus operating on the northbound trip departing Maple Community Centre at 7:35 a.m. will operate along the regular 22 King City route to King Road and Bathurst Street, then divert southward along Bathurst and east- and northward along Kingshill, resuming its regular route at Kingshill and Newbridge Avenue. In the afternoon, the bus operating on the southbound trip departing Seneca College King Campus at 2:45 p.m. will operate along its regular route to Newbridge and Kingshill, then divert south- and westward along Kingshill and northward along Bathurst Street, resuming its regular route at Bathurst and King Road.

90 Leslie South: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will re-instate service to Seneca College King Campus and Richmond Green High School, operating every 30 minutes during the Monday-to-Friday peak periods.

83/83A Trench: Starting Tuesday, September 4, to meet the new start and end times at Alexander Mackenzie High School, a bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday southbound 83 trip will depart Yonge Street and Canyon Hill at 8 a.m. and a bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday 83A trip will depart Garden and Pearson Avenues at 8:10 a.m. A bus operating on a southbound 83 trip that formerly departed from Canyon Hill and Yonge will now depart at 2:07 p.m., a bus operating on a southbound 83A trip that formerly departed at 2:50 p.m. from Richmond Green will depart at 2:45 p.m. and a bus operating on a northbound 83A trip that formerly departed at 3:02 p.m. from Richmond Hill Centre Terminal will now depart at 2:50 p.m.

Canceled current routes

225 Bales Drive Shuttle: Friday, August 31 was the last day that YRT buses operated along this route. YRT cancelled the route because few passengers were using the service.

442 Bayview High School: YRT will no longer operate this high school route from Bathurst Street and Shaftsbury Avenue because few passengers were using the service. You can still travel to Bayview High Scholl on YRT buses serving the 4/4A Major Mackenzie, 82 Valleymede-Spadina and 91/91A Bayview South routes.

401 Brother Andre via Bur Oak: YRT will no longer operate this high school route because few passengers were using the service. You can still travel to Brother Andre on YRT buses serving the 41 Markham Local, 85 16th Avenue and 400 Brother Andre routes and on Toronto Transit Commission buses serving the 102D Markham Road route.

50 Queensway: Friday, August 31 was the last day that YRT buses operated along this route. YRT cancelled the route as part of its efforts to improve service through the Town of Georgina. The revised 51 Keswick Local route will replace part of the former route along Metro Road North, Ferncroft Drive, Highcastle Avenue, Old Homestead Road and Simcoe Avenue and along the Queensway South between Biscayne Boulevard and Glenwoods Road. YRT and GO Transit will operate a new fare integration service on GO Transit’s 69 Sutton route. GO buses operating on the 69 Sutton route will replace the former 50 Queensway service on Queensway between Simcoe Avenue and Biscayne. You can pay YRT fares on this revised GO service.

440 Richmond Hill High School: YRT will no longer operate this high school route from Bathurst Street and Shaftsbury Avenue because few passengers were using the service. You can still travel to Richmond Hill High School on YRT buses serving the 83 Trench, 86 Weldrick, 441 Richmond Hill High School and 448 Richmond Hill High School routes and on Viva Blue service.

9 Stouffville Local: Friday, August 31 was the last day the YRT buses operated along this route. Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will revise the service in Stouffville and replace this route with the new 15 Stouffville and 215 Stouffville GO Shuttle routes.

9A Stouffville via Ninth Line: Friday, August 31 was the last day the YRT buses operated along this route. Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will revise the service in Stouffville and replace this route with the new 9 Ninth Line route.

Increased the frequency of current routes

88 Bathurst: Starting Saturday, September 8, YRT will improve the Saturday service frequency will be improved from every 40 to every 35 minutes until approximately 9 p.m. Between approximately 9 and 11 p.m., buses will operate every 35 to 40 minutes. Starting Sunday, September 2, YRT will improve the Sunday morning service frequency from every 60 to every 45 minutes. It will adjust Sunday midday service frequency to every 45 minutes. It will also improve Sunday evening service frequency from every 60 to every 45 to 55 minutes.

91 Bayview South: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will improve the Monday-to-Friday afternoon peak-period frequency from Finch GO Bus Terminal by cancelling all afternoon trips on the 340 Bayview Express route and adding them to the 91 Bayview South schedule. YRT will also add high school service and adjust the schedule of the 91 Bayview South route.

Viva Orange: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will increase the frequency of the route during Monday-to-Friday peak periods to replace the Viva Purple service between Martin Grove Road and York University.

Viva Purple: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will increase frequency of the Monday-to-Friday service to every ten minutes. YRT will also introduce a Monday-to-Friday branch operating between York University and Richmond Hill Centre vivastation.

10 York University-Woodbridge: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will increase the frequency of the Monday-to-Friday peak-period service to every 30 minutes. YRT will also adjust the schedule.


Decreased the frequency of current routes

55/55B Davis Drive: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will decrease the frequency of service frequency from every 20 minutes to every 25 minutes during the Monday-to-Friday midday and morning peak periods.

33 Wellington: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will decrease the frequency of the Monday-to-Friday peak period frequency from every 20 to every 30 minutes.


Adjusted schedules

31 Aurora North: Starting Tuesday, September 4, the bus operating on the first eastbound trip from Yonge Street and St. John’s Sideroad, and the bus operating on the last westbound trip from Bayview Avenue and Hollidge Boulevard will depart five minutes earlier to improve connections at the Aurora GO Station. YRT will also re-instate extra service to G.W. Williams and Aurora High Schools.

88 Bathurst: Minor Monday to Sunday schedule adjustments. YRT will also increase the frequency of service.

340 Bayview Express: YRT will cancel the 7:35 a.m. and all Monday-to-Friday afternoon peak-period trips. The 7:35 a.m. Bayview Express trip will become a 91A Bayview South trip departing Subrisco and Bayview Avenues at 7:40 a.m. The Monday-to-Friday afternoon peak-period trips will become 91A Bayview South trips departing Finch GO Bus Terminal.

91/91A Bayview South: A bus operating on new Route 91A trip will depart Subrisco and Bayview Avenues at 7:40 a.m., replacing a former southbound trip on the 340 Bayview Express route. The bus operating on the former 91 trip that left Finch GO Bus Terminal at 7 a.m. will now operate as a 91A trip to Subrisco Avenue. A bus operating on a southbound trip will depart Bayview Avenue and High Tech Road at 2:54 p.m. and a bus operating on a northbound trip will depart Bayview Avenue and John Street at 3 p.m. A bus operating on a northbound trip will depart from Bayview Avenue and Major Mackenzie Drive at 3:30 p.m.

YRT will also add high school trips and increase the frequency of the route.

18 Bur Oak: Minor weekday schedule adjustments. The bus operating on the 3:57 p.m. westbound trip departing Markham Stouffville Hospital will now depart at 4 p.m. The bus operating on the 4:25 p.m. eastbound trip departing Angus Glen Community Centre will now depart at 4:28 p.m

404 Father McGiveny Catholic Academy: To accommodate new bell times, starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will adjust the trip times. The Monday-to-Friday morning bus will depart Kennedy Road and 14th Avenue at 7:45 a.m. The Monday-to-Friday afternoon bus will leave the school at 2:45 p.m.

2A 14th Avenue: Minor Monday-to-Friday weekday peak period schedule adjustments. To connect with the 7:40 a.m. bus operating on the 85 Rutherford / 16th Avenue westbound trip from Markham Stouffville Hospital, the 7:00 a.m. eastbound bus operating on the 2A 14th Avenue trip from Woodbine Avenue and John Street will depart five minutes earlier. YRT will also re-instate trips to Markham District High School and introduce new service to Father McGiveny Catholic Academy.

77 Highway 7 / Centre: Starting Tuesday, September 4, a bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday eastbound trip will depart from Martin Grove Road and Highway 7 at 2:40 p.m., arriving at Finch GO Bus Terminal at approximately 3:24 p.m. A bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday westbound trip will depart from Finch GO Bus Terminal at 4:30 p.m., arriving at Bramalea City Centre at approximately 5:55 p.m.

425 Huron Heights: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will adjust the Monday-to-Friday 8:35 a.m. southbound trip so that the bus leaves five minutes earlier at 8:30 a.m.

20 Jane-Concord: Minor schedule adjustments resulting from ongoing construction and congestion near York University.

8 Kennedy: Minor Monday-to-Friday schedule adjustments. Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT buses operating on the Monday-to-Friday southbound morning trips from Kennedy Road and Major Mackenzie Drive at 8:35, 8:50 and 9:05 a.m. will depart five minutes earlier. The southbound afternoon trips from Kennedy and Major Mackenzie at 4:30, 4:45, 5, 5:15, 5:30, and 5:50 p.m. will depart five minutes earlier.

58/58A Leslie North: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will cancel the the 7:40 a.m. Monday-to-Friday southbound trip from the 404 Plaza to Newmarket High School to avoid duplicating 57A Mulock Drive service to the high school.

90 Leslie South: Starting Tuesday, September 4, the buses operating on the former Monday-to-Friday 2:20 p.m. and 2:55 p.m. southbound trips will now depart 10 minutes later.

4/4A Major Mackenzie: Effective July 19, a later Monday-to-Friday evening trip began operating from Canada’s Wonderland at 11:41 p.m., arriving at Woodbine Avenue at 12:23 a.m.

462 Maple High School: Starting Tuesday, September 4, YRT will adjust the Monday-to-Friday morning trip so that the bus departs from Keele Street and Rutherford Road five minutes earlier at 7:48 a.m. to meet the new morning bell time.

2 Milliken: Minor Monday-to-Friday schedule adjustments. YRT will also revise the route.

57/57A Mulock Drive: Minor weekday midday schedule adjustments.

85/85A/85B Rutherford/16th Avenue: Minor midday schedule adjustments. YRT will also revise the route.

83/83A Trench: Starting Tuesday, September 4, the YRT bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday southbound 83A trip will depart Richmond Green High School at 7:25 a.m. on weekdays.
