(Update: Saturday, September 8 at 10:49 a.m.): GO Transit has reposted information on the Georgetown diversion, indicating that buses will remain on Highway 7 and not provide service to the GO agency at Main and Wesleyan or downtown Georgetown.
Transit Toronto apologizes for providing incorrect information in this post.
GO Transit buses recently resumed service to the central part of Georgetown.
The Town of Halton Hills had been reconstructing Main Street Georgetown since early in 2007. The diversion affected GO buses operating on the 31 Georgetown route that ended or began their trips at Georgetown and those that continued to or originated in Guelph. Buses are again serving the GO Transit agency at Main and Wesleyan Streets in central Georgetown.
GO has also removed information from its website about another construction-related diversion in the Town of Halton Hills. The diversion in Acton also affected service on the Guelph branch of the 31 Georgetown route.
