The City of Toronto will close the Don Valley Parkway this weekend to conduct its annual fall maintenance of the Parkway. The Parkway will be closed from 2 a.m. on Saturday, September 22 until 5 a.m. on Monday, September 24.
Closing the Parkway will affect GO Transit bus service and passengers on the 65 Barrie-Bradford and 71 Stouffville routes can expect detours and delays.
Southbound buses on these routes will operate on their regular routes to Highways 407 and 404 and then continue westward along Highway 407, southward along Highway 427 and eastward along the F. G. Gardiner Expressway to York Street, then continue eastward along Harbour Street and northward along Bay Street into the Union GO Bus Terminal.
Northbound buses will operate from the terminal southward along Yonge Street, and westward along Lake Shore Boulevard West and the F. G. Gardiner Expressway, then reverse the above routing.
It may also affect some service on the 09 Lakeshore East route: the Saturday and Sunday 5:40 a.m. bus-only trip from Oshawa GO Station to Union Station and the Sunday and Monday 1:20 a.m. bus-only trip from Union to Oshawa.
