Streetcars resume service to Dundas and McCaul

Starting this morning, Monday, September 24, the TTC resumed streetcar service on the 505 Dundas route along Dundas Street West between Bathurst and Bay Streets.

The TTC had diverted streetcars around this section of Dundas since Monday, September 17 while the TTC and City reconstructed the streetcar tracks at the intersection of Dundas and McCaul Streets.

Eastbound 505 Dundas streetcars begin their routes at College Street and Dundas Street West, then operate eastward along Dundas Streets West and East, southward along Victoria Street, eastward along Queen Street East, northward along Parliament Street, eastward along Gerrard Street East and northward along Broadview Avenue to Broadview Station. Westbound streetcars reverse this routing to Dundas and Lansdowne Avenue, then loop northward along Lansdowne, and westward along College Street to Dundas.

Starting Tuesday, October 2, the City and TTC will begin to reconstruct the tracks along Dundas Street West between Sorauren and Howard Park Avenues. Since the work will require the City and TTC to close the eastbound lanes, the TTC will be rerouting the buses that replace streetcars west of College Street.
