GO Transit changes start this weekend

Starting this Saturday, October 27, GO Transit will revise its bus and train services to passengers.

It will: increase service; revise a route; and adjust schedules.

The changes affect these routes: 01 Lakeshore West, 21 Milton, 46 Highway 407 West, 66 Newmarket Highway 400, 71 Stouffville, 95 Oshawa Highway 2 Express

Increase service

01 Lakeshore West: Starting Sunday, October 28, GO will extend weekend train service and offer earlier Monday-to-Friday bus trips.

Weekend train trips will start and end at Aldershot GO Station, rather than Oakville GO Station. GO will also begin weekend service to Bronte and Appleby Stations. Connecting weekend bus trips will meet trains at Aldershot, rather than at Oakville Station. Sunday or holiday Monday westbound bus trips to McMaster University that connect with Lakeshore West trains will now start at Aldershot rather than Oakville. The weekend bus trip leaving Union Station at 1:30 a.m. to Hamilton will now stop at Bronte and Appleby GO Stations.

Starting Monday, October 29, several Monday-to-Friday bus trips from the Hamilton GO Centre that connect with eastbound trains at Aldershot will leave Hamilton three minutes earlier.

71 Stouffville: Starting Saturday, October 27, GO will extend some weekend and holiday bus trips from Stouffville to Goodwood and Uxbridge. Southbound bus trips will leave Uxbridge for Union Station GO Bus Terminal at 5:50 a.m. and then approximately every two hours until 9:50 p.m. Northbound trips to Uxbridge will leave Union Station at 7:40 a.m. and approximately every two hours until 11:40 p.m. These trips extend current weekend and holiday bus service between Union Station and Stouffville.

Revise route

21 Milton: Starting Monday, October 29, some Monday-to-Friday bus trips that operate between Milton and Union Station will serve the new Lisgar GO Station instead of Meadowvale GO Station. Meadowvale customers can still travel on express trips between Meadowvale GO Station and Union Station GO Bus terminal.
