Note: Although the TTC has announced that streetcar service along St. Clair will not resume until Wednesday, some Transit Toronto readers are reporting that streetcars are already serving stops along St. Clair.
Starting Wednesday, November 7, the TTC will again operate streetcars on the 512 St. Clair route east of Oakwood Avenue.
Streetcars will run along St. Clair Avenue between St. Clair Station and Oakwood Loop. Buses will run along St. Clair between Gunn’s Loop (west of Keele Street) and Bathurst Street, looping at Bathurst southward along Bathurst and northwestward along Vaughan Road to St. Clair. The buses will continue to serve curbside stops between Keele and Bathurst.
Streetcars will pass through, but not stop at, St. Clair West Station. Passengers who want to transfer to or from the 1 Yonge-University-Spadina subway at St. Clair West Station can use on-street stops at Bathurst Street and Tweedsmuir Avenue.
Streetcar passengers who wish to travel westward beyond Oakwood Avenue and bus passengers who wish to travel eastward beyond Bathurst Street can transfer between the streetcar and the bus at St. Clair and Christie Street.
The TTC is continuing to reconstruct the streetcar and bus loop at St. Clair West Station, so buses operating on routes that usually end at St. Clair West Station continue to detour.
