Today, Tuesday, November 27, streetcars on the 505 Dundas route traveled beyond Parliament Street and across the Don River bridge for the first time since February.
Although streetcars are rolling, the bridge still remains closed to other vehicular traffic. Eastbound road traffic can only travel between Parliament and River Streets, while the westbound lanes remain closed between River and Parliament.
In the west end, the TTC and City of Toronto continue to work on the bridge over the railway tracks between Lansdowne and Sorauren Avenues. Until the TTC and City contractors finish this work, the TTC will continue to operate buses along the west end of the route.
