Starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, December 10, until 6 a.m. on Thursday, December 13, the Town of Milton and the Region of Halton will close Main Street East, east of Ontario Street. CP Rail crews will be maintaining the the railroad tracks where they cross Main Street.

While Main Street is closed, GO Transit buses on the 21 Milton and 27 Milton Highway 401 routes will end their trips at the Milton GO Station and will not travel downtown. The project will also affect service on Milton Transit.

A long-term project to reconstruct Thompson Road between Main Street and Derry Road also continues to affect service on GO’s 21 Milton route. For southbound service, GO has moved the bus stop on the west side of Thompson, south of Laurier Drive to north of Laurier and the stop on the west side of Thompson north of Derry to the south side Derry east of Thompson. For northbound service, GO has moved the stop on the north side of Derry, just east of Thompson to Thompson, just north of Derry.
