Update: The intersection opened to through north-south traffic earlier than the TTC and City expected and buses on the 329 and 29 Dufferin routes resumed their regular service at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 14.
The ongoing City of Toronto and TTC project to build the light rail transit line along St. Clair Avenue West will close parts of the intersection of St. Clair and Dufferin Street this weekend. Starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, January 11 until 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 15, the City will close the intersection to through north-south traffic.
The TTC will detour buses on the 29 Dufferin and 329 Dufferin (overnight) routes while the intersection is closed.
Southbound buses will operate along their regular routes to Dufferin Street and Rogers Road, then detour westward along Rogers, southward along Caledonia Road and then eastward along St. Clair Avenue West to Dufferin, resuming their regular route southward along Dufferin. Northbound buses will operate along their regular routes to Dufferin and Davenport Road, then detour eastward along Davenport, northward along Oakwood Avenue and then eastward along St. Clair to Dufferin, resuming their regular route northward along Dufferin.
Buses operating on the 312 St. Clair (overnight) and 512 St. Clair services will continue to operate along their regular routes east- and westward along St. Clair
