Windy Weather Disrupts TTC Operations

At 10:00 a.m., we are getting reports that Toronto Police Services have blocked off the Yonge-Eglinton intersection due to high winds possibly popping out windows from the Canada Square Building, sending glass down on the streets below. This closure has affected part of Eglinton station. If your journey passes through this area, be prepared for delays.

(Update: 10:25): After determining that it was safe to do so, the Toronto Police Services re-opened the intersection and the closed portions of the station.

(Update: 11:00): Now we are hearing reports of the loss of signals and traction at Lawrence West. Subways are turning back at Wilson and St. Clair West and shuttle buses are being pressed into service in the gap.

(Update: 11:15) Service between Wilson and St. Clair West has been restored.
