Weather delays transit services today

Update, 2 p.m.: 680 All-News Radio is reporting that the TTC’s WheelTrans service for passengers with mobility restrictions is operating “under a snow contingency plan”. This means that operators are only picking up passengers with a medical necessity for traveling. YRT is reporting delays of 30 minutes or more on all routes.

Update, 11 a.m.: GO is now advising that buses are running as much as 90 minutes late.

The wintry blast has created poor road and travel conditions and is disrupting transit services throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton today. Plan on taking longer to travel to or from work or school and, if possible, postpone your trip to another day.

GO Transit is warning passengers that all GO buses are operating as much as 60 minutes behind schedule. Many trains on the 09 Lakeshore East and 01 Lakeshore West routes are running late and GO has cancelled some trips.

York Region Transit is reporting delays of 15 to 20 minutes on all routes.
