Mississauga Transit raises fares on Monday

Riding the bus in Mississauga will cost you more, starting Monday, February 25, when Mississauga Transit increases its fares. If you pay cash at the farebox, you’ll have to pay an extra quarter when cash fares jump from $2.50 to $2.75 a ride.

You can find details of the new fares here.

Mississauga is following the lead of other Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton transit systems. Many of them have adjusted fares during the past two years.

MT has not announced whether passengers can still use “old tickets”, for how long or how they can exchange the old ones for new ones.
