Weekend event affects transit, March 2

The City of Burlington will close several streets in central Burlington all day on Sunday, March 3 to accommodate the HSBC Chilli Marathon and Frosty 5km Road Race.

Burlington Transit will divert service on the 2 Brant and 3 Guelph routes all day Sunday.

2 Brant: Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Brant and Caroline Streets, the divert eastward along Caroline and southward along John Street to the Downtown Terminal. Northbound buses reverse this routing.

Northbound buses reverse this routing.

Burlington Transit interlines these two routes at the Downtown Terminal. (“Interlining” means that buses serve both routes.) A southbound bus operating on the 2 Brant route serves the northbound 3 Guelph route when it leaves the Terminal. A southbound bus operating on the 3 Guelph route serves the northbound 2 *Brant *route when it leaves the Terminal.
