This year, kids in Burlington and Oakville can use their Freedom Passes all day during the break, between March 10 and 14.

Both Burlington Transit and Oakville Transit offer students Freedom Passes. The passes allow students between the ages of 6 and 18 to travel on any Burlington or Oakville Transit bus after 5 p.m. Mondays to Fridays and all day on weekends and holidays. (In Burlington, the pass costs $20 a month. In Oakville, you can buy a Freedom Pass for just $10 a month.)

Both passes enable kids to stay at school later for extra programs and events, travel to and from part-time jobs, attend sports, music lessons and any other activities and return home safely.

Meanwhile, kids in Milton can take advantage of two-for-one fares next week.

The Town of Milton is encouraging students to take the bus with a friend or a sibling during March break. Students showing their student ID card can take advantage of two-for-one Milton Transit fare all day long, from March 10 to 14. With this promotion, students will have more access to recreation and social opportunities during the school break.

In Toronto, the TTC offers a special Day/Family Pass that you can use every day of the March Break.

Each pass costs $9.00 and is good for unlimited one-day travel for a group of as many as six people — a maximum of two adults with no more than four children or youths younger than 19.

You can use the March Break Day/Family Pass between March 10 and March 14. The pass is also available on Saturday and Sunday, as it is throughout the year.
