Mississauga Transit changes start March 24



Starting Monday, March 24, Mississauga Transit (MT) will revise its routes and services.

Specifically, it will introduce new routes, increase the frequency of service of current routes and adjust the schedules of current routes.


The changes affect these routes: 8 Cawthra — Indian Road; 13 Glen Erin; 20 Rathburn; 33 Erin Centre Loop; 38 Creditview; 38A Creditview — Argentia; 39 Britannia; 42 Derry; 45 Winston Churchill; 61 Mavis; 67 Cantay; 308 St. Joseph — Eglinton; 309 St. Joseph — Square One; 328 Cawthra Secondary — Square One; 334 St. Joseph — Square One.


Introduce new routes

328 Cawthra Secondary — Square One: Starting Monday, March 24, the buses that currently operate on Monday-to-Friday northbound trips on the 8 Cawthra — Indian Road route, leaving Cawthra Secondary School at 3:10, 3:12 and 3:24 p.m, will instead operate on this new high school route. Buses will leave from the south side of the school on Atwater Avenue, east of Cawthra Road and then follow the regular 8 Cawthra — Indian Road route to the City Centre Terminal at Square One.

334 St. Joseph — Square One: Starting Monday, March 24, Mississauga Transit will introduce a new high school route between St. Joseph High School and the City Centre Terminal at Square One. A bus will leave the school at 2:32 p.m. and travel southward along Creditview Road, eastward along Eglinton Avenue West, south- and eastward along Kingsbridge Garden, southward along Hurontario Street and then westward along Rathburn Road into the Terminal.


Increase the frequency of service on current routes

39 Britannia: Starting Monday, March 24, Mississauga Transit will increase the frequency of service during Monday-to-Friday rush hours and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

20 Rathburn: Starting Monday, March 24, Mississauga Transit will increase the frequency of service during Monday-to-Friday rush hours. MT will also adjust the Saturday schedule.

45 Winston Churchill: Starting Sunday, March 30, Mississauga Transit will increase the frequency of service on Sundays and holidays. Starting Monday, March 24, MT will also adjust the schedules Monday to Fridays.


Adjust schedules of current routes

67 Cantay: Starting Monday, March 24, the bus that currently operates on the Monday-to-Friday trip leaving White Hart Lane and Cantay Road at 9:10 p.m. will leave five minutes earlier at 9:05 p.m.

8 Cawthra — Indian Road: Starting Monday, March 24, Mississauga Transit will cancel the current northbound trips from Cawthra Secondary School to the City Centre Terminal at 3:10, 3:12 and 3:24 p.m. Buses operating on the new 328 Cawthra — Square One route will replace these trips.

38 Creditview: Starting Monday, March 24, Mississauga Transit will change Monday-to-Friday schedule times. Starting Saturday, March 29, MT will change Saturday schedule times.

38A Creditview-Argentia: Starting Sunday, March 30, Mississauga Transit will change the Sunday and holiday schedule times.

42 Derry: Starting Saturday, March 29, the bus currently operating on the Saturday westbound trip leaving Westwood Mall at 5:45 a.m. will leave two minutes earlier at 5:43 a.m.

33 Erin Centre Loop: Starting Monday, March 24, the bus operating on the last Monday-to-Friday evening trip will leave Erin Mills Town Centre at 12:13 a.m. Starting Saturday, March 29, the bus operating on the last Monday-to-Friday evening trip will leave Erin Mills Town Centre at 11:47 p.m.

13 Glen Erin: Starting Monday, March 24, a bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday northbound trip will leave Clarkson GO Station at 5:18 a.m. A bus currently leaving Meadowvale Town Centre at 5:47 p.m. will leave Meadowvale three minutes later at 5:50 p.m.

61 Mavis: Starting Monday, March 24, a bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday northbound trip will leave the City Centre Terminal at 2 p.m. A bus operating on a new Monday-to-Friday southbound trip will leave Financial Drive and Syntex Court at 2:30 p.m.

20 Rathburn: Starting Saturday, March 29, Mississauga Transit will adjust the Saturday, Sunday and holiday schedule times. MT will also increase the frequency of service during Monday-to-Friday rush hours.

308 St. Joseph — Eglinton: Starting Monday, March 24, the bus currently operating on the Monday-to-Friday southbound trip leaving St. Joseph High School at 2:31 p.m. will leave one minute later at 2:32 p.m.

309 St. Joseph — Square One: Starting Monday, March 24, the bus currently operating on the Monday-to-Friday southbound trip leaving St. Joseph High School at 2:29 p.m. will leave three minutes later at 2:32 p.m.

45 Winston Churchill: Starting Monday, March 24, the bus currently operating on the Monday-to-Friday northbound trip leaving Clarkson GO Station at 10:52 a.m. will leave two minutes earlier at 10:50 a.m. Starting Sunday, March 30, MT will also increase the frequency of service on Sundays.
