Hamilton transit changes start March 24

Starting Monday, March 24, the Hamilton Street Railway will adjust the schedules of three routes. The HSR has also confirmed that it will introduce three new routes later this year.

The changes affect these routes: 22 Upper Ottawa, 33 Sanatorium, 43 Stonechurch.

33 Sanatorium: Starting Saturday, March 29, a southbound bus will leave Gore Park at 6 p.m. on a new trip to help Extendicare employees get to work by 7 a.m.

43 Stonechurch: Starting Monday, March 24, the HSR will revise the Monday-to-Friday eastbound schedule. The bus that currently leaves the Lime Ridge Terminal at 7:24 a.m. will leave two minutes later at 7:26 p.m. This minor schedule change will help passengers who wish to connect at Valley Park with a bus operating on the 11 Parkdale route.

22 Upper Ottawa: Starting Monday, March 24, the HSR will revise the schedule for all Monday-to-Friday trips operating from 5 until 9:30 p.m. This will help paassengers who wish to connect at Upper Ottawa Street and Fennell Avenue East with buses operating on the 21 Upper Kenilworth and 41 Mohawk routes. The HSR will also extend another trip southbound Monday-to-Friday trip to Anchor and Bigwin Roads. The bus operating on this trip will leave Gore Park at 6 p.m. and arrive at Anchor and Bigwin at 6:34 p.m.

The HSR will introduce three new Monday-to-Friday rush hour routes later this year: 12 Wentworth, 18 Waterdown and 44 Rymal Road.
