Contract Talks Continue. No Strike Yet

The second union that was threatening strike action is meeting with management to work out a new deal. CUPE Local 2, which includes signal workers, electricians and communications workers, have agreed to hold off on any strike action and, as is the case with ATU Local 113, give the public 48 hours notice before launching into any job action. Indeed, ATU Local 113 president Bob Kinnear is suggesting that no job action will take place from his workers this week, as long as negotiations continue to progress.

All the Toronto media is watching events closely, as will we, and we will keep you posted as things develop.
