York University construction affects transit,
starting April 14

From Monday, April 14 until Friday, April 25, construction of the new Archives of Ontario along Ian Macdonald Boulevard in York University, just north of the Harry W. Arthurs Common will affect York Region Transit services through the campus.

The construction results in YRT removing its stops on both sides of Ian Macdonald at the Archives site. YRT has set up a temporary stop for buses on the north side of York Boulevard at Ian Macdonald and rerouted its buses to pick up and drop off passengers at that stop.

The construction affects these routes: Viva Orange; Viva Purple; 3 Thornhill — York University; 10 York University — Woodbridge; 20 Jane — Concord.

20 Jane — Concord:

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Steeles Avenue West and Founders’ Road, then continue:

eastward along Steeles;
southward along Keele Street; and then
westward along York Boulevard
to the temporary stop at Ian Macdonald Boulevard.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.

3 Thornhill — York University:

Buses operate along their regular route, but use the temporary stop on York Boulevard at Ian Macdonald.

Viva Orange:

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Jane Street and Steeles Avenue West, then detour:

eastward along Steeles;
southward along Keele Street;
westward along York Boulevard
to the temporary stop at Ian Macdonald Boulevard; and then
around the Commons,
resuming their regular route eastward along York Boulevard.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.

Viva Purple:

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route to Keele Street and Steeles Avenue West, then continue:

southward along Keele; and then
westward along York Boulevard,
to the temporary stop at Ian Macdonald Boulevard,
resuming their regular route around the Commons.

10 York University — Woodbridge:

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Steeles Avenue West and Founders’ Road, then continue:

eastward along Steeles;
southward along Keele Street; and then
westward along York Boulevard
to the temporary stop at Ian Macdonald Boulevard.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.
