Guelph Transit construction detours start tomorrow

Starting tomorrow, Monday, April 21, Guelph Transit buses will begin two detours — one for several months on the 8 General Hospital route and one for a short term on the 22 Conestoga route.

Starting Monday, April 21 at 9 a.m. until Friday, April 25 at 6 p.m., the City of Guelph will close Speedvale Avenue West between Silvercreek Parkway North and Dawson Road to connect services to nearby properties.

Inbound buses — buses headed towards downtown Guelph — will operate along their regular route to Woodlawn Road West and Silvercreek, then detour:

eastward along Woodlawn;
southward along Edinburgh Road North; and then
westward along Speedvale to Dawson,
resuming their regular route, southward along Dawson.

Outbound buses — buses travelling away from downtown Guelph — operate along their regular route to Dawson Road and Speedvale Road West, then detour:

eastward along Speedvale;
northward along Edinburgh;
westward along Woodlawn Road West; and then
southward along Silvercreek Parkway North,
resuming their regular route westward along Speedvale.
