Construction projects at York University in Toronto and along Speedvale Avenue in Guelph ended yesterday, and regular service resumed today. Another construction project along Arkell Road in Guelph starts on Monday.
York University
Construction along Ian Macdonald Boulevard near the new Archives of Ontario ended on Friday, April 25 and York Region Transit buses on several routes resumed their regular service to all stops on campus. The project started on Monday, April 14.
Construction along Speedvale Avenue West, between Dawson Road and Silvercreek Parkway North ended at 6 p.m. last night, Friday, April 25, and Guelph Transit buses on the 22 Conestoga route resumed their regular route. The project started on Monday, April 21.
Starting Monday, April 28 at 9 a.m. until Friday, May 2 at 6 p.m., the City of will close Arkell Road between Summerfield Drive and Ridgeway Avenue to connect utilities to a subdivision.
Guelph Transit will detour buses on the 54 Arkell route during the construction.
Northbound buses will operate along their regular route to Arkell Road and Summerfield Drive, then detour:
southward along Summerfield;
westward along Jenson Boulevard, Pine Ridge Drive and Lowes Road East; and then
northward along Gordon Street to Arkell,
resuming their regular route northward along Gordon.
